The main flows people use to move and trade tokens were inspired by one philosophy: the movement of assets.
An asset can be anything from ETFs, stocks, bonds and money to crypto.
Send flow
Send and Bridge start from the same address field, on the idea that the token’s destination is known: either your own account or a known external account.
Select destination network
The address exists on more than one network: each is listed, with a warning to choose with care.

Trade flow
Trade and Buy share a simplified version of the Send and Bridge flow, since the accounts are intrinsically known: a user can only trade or buy from, and for, their own account.
Token to buy
Framing the token as a purchase makes the whole of the Trade and Buy flows compatible, and easier to use for a Web2 audience.

Creating components from an understanding of intention, a shared mental model and the philosophy of transacting and moving assets made them easier to map out, implement and maintain for the long term.

Reflection
Sometimes adapting an elemental concept, like the movement of assets, gives a better multiplier than trying to invent new patterns from scratch.
